Issue orders to your powerful AI controlled subordinates or take total control of every unit. Fight the world's most advanced AI opponent or match wits against your friends online or over a LAN. Highway to the Reich covers all four battles from Operation Market Garden, including Arnhem, Nijmegen, Eindhoven and the 30th Corps breakout from Neerpelt.

I'm a newbie to HTTR. I'm an old hex map pbem wargamer (i.e., PzCampaigns ... Decisive Battles ... etc.); so this is new territory for me.

What are the most popular scenarios? Do any stand out as being exceptional playing against the AI? I started playing the tutorials of course then went on to Meeting Engagement which I like a lot because of the armored units. Are there any scenarios that tend to play better against the AI than others? (I'm obviously not ready for HtH)

... any input is appreciated

regards

Hank

Head over to tm.asp?m=618029 where we've discussed this before [:)]

Whatever scenario you play I'd recommend you set the orders delay to 'none' so you can get a good 'feel' for the game. Check back through the earlier pages of this forum as there are several that deal with 'newbie' questions. Hell, we were all newbies once[:D]

Give Terror of the Tyne Tees as the Allies a try. Don't read any spoiler though like AARs or other stuff about it.

Just play it the best you can. You should have fun.

Battle of the Arnhem Bases is another good one to try.
