Similar or different?

Post by RSGodfrey »

Does anyone know if UV and WitP are similar, or sufficiently different to justify buying both?

Thanks

They're pretty similar, but WitP is much further evolved. Lots of little things that annoyed me in UV have been fixed (or at least improved) in WitP. There's a more detailed thread in the WitP board (titled UV v. WitP, I think).

When is WITP on the market? Will it be delayed in Europe?

WitP will be released for download over the internet at some time in the near future. (They were selling copies at the Origins convention last week, so it's done and dusted. And as someone who bought one of those copies, I can tell you that it's worth the wait.) No one has really said when it will available by download, except that it looks like it will be pretty soon. Over in the WitP forum, they're driving themselves frantic, checking the matrix homepage every 10 seconds, that sort of thing.

Assuming you can download around 500 MB, it looks like it will be available worldwide, all at once. They'll also ship you a CD, if you like. But the Matrix guys have said it won't be sold in stores, only over the net.
