Odd I was reading an official US Navy Cronology of the PAcific war that someone Had complied. This was the entry in 1942 for january 27th.

It involves both the Seawolf and A jap sub torpedo by an American sub.

actually, experienced the same thing in a game of UV. A US sub tried to attack japanese DD's, and one of the DD's fired a torpedo and hit me. The sub had attacked on the surface. Damn it
