Game Freeze

First: do you want us to report game freezes and crashes? Only if repeated or reproduceable?


If so: Had the game lock up on me last night. I had selected a submarine and opened the ship detail screen to find the sub's class. I then selected the radio button for viewing the ship databases, opened the sub's class information and then closed the database. The database closed fine, but at that point the game was locked up. Music still played and the mouse moved, but none of the radio buttons worked, screen wouldn't scroll, etc. I'm guessing it may have been a one-off as I'd been in and out of the database several times with no problem.

-I have similar trouble. Seems to happen only in scen#2, but is highly reproductible. Are you able to exit the program with CTRL+ALT+DEL or do you have to turn off manually?

I was able to bring up the program manager with Alt+Ctl+Del and close the program. It sounded like the hard drive might have been in some kind of a loop, and I noticed when I exited that the CPU was at about 50% utilization - pretty good on a 2.8 P4.

By the way, I was in the grand campaign.

Try using ESC key to close active screen. It helps sometimes when game seems to hang.
