Internet problems after playing

Post by ringerthrawn »

I have a Compaq Presario 2500 w/ a P4 2.3mhz w/ 512 mb ram. Everytime I play, my internet connection dies after I quit playing. I spend about 1 hour getting my computer to talk to my cable modem. Anyone else having this problem?

I find that after playing for any extended period of time (more than a couple of hours) I need to shut down my pc for a minute or two, then reboot it from scratch. If I've been playing for less than an hour it is usually enough just to do a warm reboot.

I don't know what WitP does to memory (I've got a Dell with similar specs to yours), but it isn't pretty...[;)]

I've not noticed any such problems even after 2-4 hrs with WITSP,
but I have "own built" not a dell nor an ummm Compaq...

P-4 1.8ghz 256MB ddr-333 Ram.

Still it is possiable WITSP puts a load on the system etc and it is
not a bad idea to restart the PC , it applys to other games, simply to clear out the memory and "freshen things.

However even after playing Witsp for 4-5 hrs I, right after exiting, I had no problem running browser nor doing email right off...
Noise? What Noise? It's sooooo quiet and Peaceful!
