Mouse.BMP error

I am getting this error after I click on Play. It says that my mouse.bmp cannot be found. Does any one have a solution for this? I am running the game in windows 98.

Did a little digging for you online and it looks like a DirectDraw error of some kind. What version of DirectX are you running? I'm not 100% certain how updated 98 needs to be to run just right, but I know the game needs to be at LEAST DirectX 8.1. Windows is up to 9.0b right now which is the latest runtime. I would check your version of Direct X and if it's anything older then 9.0 I would upgrade.

Failing that, give us some more information on just what your system has for specs and how updated your drivers are.

I updated to the latest Direct x and still received the mouse.bmp not loaded. I searched for a mouse.bmp but the file does not exist on my hard drive. THis is a W98 with 256 in memory.

It should be in the ART directory.

Check there for it. The installation may have failed.
