OT: Daily gaming news reports?

Post by MarkShot »

I used to visit www.simhq.com each week for a daily news update on wargaming/strategy/flight sims/racing/hardware. For whatever reason, the site seems to have suspended displaying such news on their home page for the last week.

Does anyone know of any other sites that provide a similar daily news update?

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, SimHq.com went quiet for a week or two last summer also. Probably the person in charge is on vacation. An announcement would be in order, though.

You know, I just realized that I've been visiting simhq.com so long that my bookmark still says "Crimson's Sim World." :)

I didn't even know they were called that.

I was part of the big EAW migration from Combatsim.

I had my strategy guide hosted on Combatsim. Rather than selling it to them as content (the amount you get paid for this stuff doesn't even meet the federal minimum wage), I wrote a contract that permitted them to host it and I maintained all rights to it. When they went subscriber, it was in violation of our contract (they couldn't sell or charge for access to it); thus, I moved it to SimHQ.

Maybe SimHQ will pick up the news in a week or so. For what I am interested in, they do a pretty good job with it.
