Problems with generated campaigns

I think this issue might have been dealt with
previous posts, but i am too lazy to look
through them.
my problem is as follows:
i wanted to play short finnish winter war campaign with small core units, and allways
after 2-3 fights it gets me to theatre selection screen (with no option to select theatre, of course <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> )
tried it several times, and got bored with it <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
so i started post-war yanks vs russian conflict,
again with rather small core force.
after some 4-5 fights it just bumps back to main menu. so thats a deadend too <img src="frown.gif" border="0">
i am playing with win98se and spwaw 7.0
is there a solution for this kinda behaviour?

The version 7.1 patch cures this. It was mostly occuring on Minor countries, seems to be fixed now...
