When you want to fly cap over base/tf, should the range be set to 1 or 0?

To have the CAP fighters operate only in the base/TF hex (ie not escort strikes against other locations), set it to range 0.

Hmm, so if you set the squadron's mission to Escort with 60% CAP and max range zero, the remaining 40% will rest? If so, that's good to know.

That is how it works (unless you're attacked of course - in that case the other 40% may not get much rest [;)]).
