Manual?
I do not normally get so worked up and mad, but I'm both now![:@]
Matrix appears to be keeping themselves well hidden.[:(]
There is no Postal Mail address, no phone number or even an e-mail address on their web site. [:@] Just why are they hiding?
I tried using the "Webmaster" address on their web site, but could not get it to take a simple e-mail message.[:@]
All I want right now is a User's Manual for War in the Pacific!
I own a copy of Uncommon Valor, and there was a User's Manual on the disk.
I can find nothing indicating a User's Manual on the downloaded program that I paid $70 for. I can also find nothing related to a User's Manual on their web site.
Does one exist?
I'm somewhat in the dark right now, and I would be totally lost if not for the experience of using Uncommon Valor. There appears to be a lot of things that are different with War in the Pacific. Just how does Matrix expect someone to learn the game with out instructions?
I'm not a happy camper at the moment![:@]
Regards, Gregg

RE: Manual?
There is a pdf manual for War in The Pacific - just check in the Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\manuals folder in your hard disk
RE: Manual?
Hi Gregg,
After installing the game I have four manuals as PDF files in directory \Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\Manuals. They are WITP_EditorManual, WITP_Manual, WITP_Manual-USLetter and WITP_Tutorial.
In case they are missing in your installation maybe you should try to reinstall the game.
Regards

RE: Manual?
BTW....should you find them PDF files (and I hope you do) you'll need Adobe Acrobat 6.0 to run 'em. I had still had 4.0 so there was another download for me. [:D]

Like you do for other programms. Click on "START" on browse the contents of the "War in the Pacific" Start menu folder. All 4 manuals are linked from there.
If you prefer Windows Explorer or "My Computer" then you´ll find the in the "manuals" directory of the installed game.

RE: Manual?
I just do not understand the reason with using all the angry faced icons in one post. I mean he easily could of just asked the same question and got the same answer without getting all worked up about a game manual that is not hard to find in the first place.....[8|]

RE: Manual?
Mybiggest complaint is that the manual isn't accessible in game, like PzC. Or am I missing something. Anyone if you can access it from inside the game?

RE: Manual?
I run the game in windowed mode, so I can look at the manual while in the game just fine.
If you want to know how to run the game in windowed mode, check out this link:

Ive noticed that when i alt tab between WitP and the desktop patches of the screen are distorted mapwise and it takes a restart of the main program to get rid of them....But thats what i get for alt-tabbing while the turn is progressing as i have no patience.
Also ive noticed my 1.2Ghz Laptop runs the turns in around 3 mins which is faster that my 2.66Ghz Intel PC with twice the memory...Bizarre [&:]

If you Alt-Tab with a info window open (like a list of ships or planes or the base screen) you will experience the fuzzy screen problem. If you don't have anything up, just the map, you should not get any fuzzy screen and won't have to restart the game. Thats been my "work around" for alt tabbing.
