looking for nebula info

is there any instructions on how to make a nebula or can someone here give me an idar as to how to male one.
what i tried was to make a sphere in 3ds max v6 and apply the texture to it as double sided. i was assuming that you (the system secter etc...) are inside the sphere, but this did not seem to work.....
any help would be apreacited

You'll have to search around. I think milo explained this to some extent, but artwork is all Greek to me. I think the design of the nebular model has to be in the shape of a grapefruit or orangoutang or some such thing in order for it to work in-game, I really can't remember.
