I think you ought to drop the fifth AC20 and try to squeeze in more ammo instead. Unless you take time to micromanage the shot spacing, heat would be a problem... 25 C each... that's 125 C in one go... hmmm look's like you can try firing one AC every 5 seconds and that would keep the heat at green for a while...

take 1 mm off the LoT and put it in the LL... [:)]

After playtesting with AI, I concluded that the Zyklon is a very dangerous titan. I'd hate to meet that thing in battle.

Actually, after firing two shots you'e up to 50 heat, which means, fire the arm guns, wait 1 second, fire CT gun, wait heat green, fire side torso guns.
And just hope you don't run into a NM design and overheat to multiple ammo explosions. :) :) :)

If you do meet a NM design, you just have to hope that a lucky shot will set off its NM ammo before its NMs set off your AC20's ammo.

Coyote,

I'm looking for a LRM + LR energy weapons (LL(s) +/- PG, at least 1 LL would give it some firepower under minimum range) design for the assaults. It will probably look similiar to this design so I if you want to make one and since this one's very close....

Besides it will probably replace the Lotus since there's plenty of Guass cannons already in the Assaults and the Lotus is similiar to the Green Dragon.

I've been playing ToS WS for about a month now. I found that slapping 4-5 neutron blasters on an assault will win vs. other assaults. Bonus: you get a titan in good shape at the end of the battle. Given equal jocks I think this is about the best weapons I've used.

Yup. Dig through and find my Illithid design. EMP, 3*Neutron Blaster, and a BRG. It's absolutely vicious.

Using more than three beams at once makes it difficult for even an assault to generate enough power to keep them all running, so there's not much gain at all after the first volley. At least NB's and EMP's are kind to your heatreg.

Ah, I found the printout for it..
An illithid is a mind flayer, this was meant as an update/improvement on Hetzer's old Mind Flayer chassis from the old days.


When using this design, stagger your shots so the beams will recharge faster. You really don't need to bother with the emp that much but it can help. The BRG is devastating once you sicken your enemy, knock him down and never let him get back up.

A good shield helps a bit against NBs, as well as a good Life Support and high Constitution.

I'd imagine the NB's pretty much have run their course by the time you are fighitng assualt with LS 6 and pilots with >15 CON.

Strangely, I've been able to kill AI android pilots with neutron blasters. Perhaps this is a bug?

They're very resistant to radiation, but they're not immune.

They sure didn't seem "very resistant" when my Illithid opened up on them. -shrug- Maybe I hit the cockpit or life support with my emp and that's why it was so easy.

Possible, as EMP neural bridge (cockpit) hits result in light damage for Androids. NBs cause minor damage when the special effect is triggered. Still, chance for a head hit with the EMP, chance for a cockpit hit, light damage, seems too unlikely to be as easy as you make it sound.

Quick question that I feel I should know the answer too, but can't remember how it works at this point in time...

If an android is damaged/injured and has negitive modifers, will this effect it's suseptibility to radiation?
