Demo Installation problem

Hi. Just downloaded the demo but ran into a problem about 4 of 5 files through the installation. I get an error saying "Error whilst uncompressing 'C:\Windows\TEMP\Ins8004.tmp', unable to write to C:\WINDOW\TEMP\Ins8004.tmp"

Not sure why that's coming up. I click OK then it finishes the installation. I try to launch the game and I get the game error of "Could not setup the palette. This game will now terminate"

I have an ATI card but was sure to get that video.cfg but still no hope of launching the game. I think it still has something to do with that initial error.

I'm running the ATI 9200se. Any opinions or suggestions?
