Just some updates on Project 7

Post by DamoclesX »

On the Babylon 5 front, everything has been progressing nicly, we have figured out most of the triggers for creating event based missions, a lot more of the ships have been completed, and the entire balance system has been re-written to reflect a more Babylon 5 feel.

Fighters can effect most small capital ships, and unlike the first build it does not take 50 torpedos to smoke a larger ship, fighter coverage and intercepting incomming torpedos and missions(vid point defense, fighter missions or fighter guns, the ai uses all three) is very important.

On the Project Alpha front, everything is going ahead on story building/ background/ concept creation and all the stuff that does not involve actually coding or modeling:)

Here are some shots of the latest ships, more are on the site.

Nice to see B5 is coming along nicely.

Im pretty new to all of this but have been a hardcore SS fan since the 1st download was available.

Out of curiosity how did you get the texture on the fighter so that you can see the cockpit like that, been trying to do a similar with a ship i have been playing around with.

p.s. I there is anything i can do to help out with the B5 project i would luv to be involved, not sure how much use i would be but the offer is there. [:)]

Check this post

some of the new screens

the minbari nial is NOT a fun fighter to fight , the beams mean it hits EXACTLY where it fires because of their instant speed, so you get hurt, fast, really fast.

Those screenies are awesome! Great work Damo and the rest of the B5:HTL team!

BTW when could we expect a prelim release?

well I have 1 mission that is actually.. um.. working lol

and about 20 test missions

still waiting on a few things, I did a perlim build of the interface using screenshots of the setup, only a few pages but it does look diferent lol, and a few other things id like to tweak(editing the explosions for the minbari so they have a more greenish look to them)
