Take command in this dynamic turn-based game and test strategies that long-past generals and world leaders could only dream of. Now anything is possible in this new strategic offering from Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games.

Can I buy and get this straight from here first?

I'm wondering if we can order the game through matrix's website and get the game faster than a pre-order at ebgames?

If the game is made available via Direct Download at Digital River (like the most recent Matrix Games releases) then: Yes.

(but i do not make those publishing decisions)

Isn't Digital River just an electronic retail store? I mean, they must be taking a cut too or why would they run their service? Of course, I'm sure it is much smaller than a brick and mortar store.

What I hate about buying a game in boxed form is that I know part of what I'm shelling out is for the box and other packaging that will immediately be tossed anyway.

Plus, I hate having to put a CD into the machine in order to play. Gets to be a major PITA to keep swapping CD's every time I swap games.
