Auto Convoy Bug

Post by CobraAus »

First post from Cobra Aus

Has anyone spotted this possible bug -- Auto Convoy from Karachi that have been sent out
always gets sent to Pearl Harbour for refueling going past destination and going into harms
way through Japanese held areas and will be sunk - you have to intercept and take over TF
redirecting back on course [:(][:(]

This seems to happen quite lot...

In my game against AI most of my sunk ships come this way. Either from passing Singapore or when moving from PH to Noumea around hex 80,80 ( don't remember name for this area, lots of japanese bases there) , in both areas TF's seem to ignore slight Japanese advantage in air power balance.

Mostly I ignore this and let AI have it's victories. But when I start playing PBM as US I will use Auto convoy only for bases where one can sail safely directly. And not at all from Karachi, as I suppose that I can't secure Singapore.

This behaviour may cause me to change my strategies, as I hate micromanaging and I'd love to use Auto convoys... So I may have to make some room for my convoys.
