how far have people gon in PBEM?

How far have you got in PBEM? Do you realize that to finish the full campaign it would take something like 8 years? even if you play 1 turn a day (which is a lot!) it would still take more than 4 years to finish the campaign...

I have five games going. 4 as japan and one as the allies. We have been playing on for about two weeks and are almost done with january 42, another we started a 5/42 game and are almost into July. As the allies full game we are almost into 2/42. Not to bad for two weeks of play.

What?! No way! Why didn't someone tell me? Forget this then, it's back to Electronic Battleship for me. Thank God I didn't waste any more time here....

It depends on your opponent how many turn you can play. 2 or 3 turns is possible. But PBEM is the best way to play this game and yes it may coast some time. At this moment I spend 15 minutes per day for 1 turn WitP. So I think it is acceptable.

Bah. Once Raver finishes his holiday we'll probably hit 43 before the end of the year - and 52nd highland and I will probably overtake that too.

Its just about finding an opponent who's timetable fits comfortably with yours.

As well as bothers to send back turns..thankfully Luskan,Irishman etc have been excellent in keeping up the PBEM games.Obviously there will be turns where nothing is going on as forces are moving into place so i have seen cases where 4 or 5 turns can get send in a day.
