Refrain from using them like decoys or cannon fodder or I'll be forced to use negative smileys in my posts.[:-]

What do you want to know. There are several different types of transports.

AK can carry troops, supplies, resources and fuel. they are better at carrying supply and resources.

TK can carry fuel or Oil , they can also be used to replenish ships at sea along with AO

Both AK and TK are slow, poorly armed and have less than stellar crews.

AP can carry troops and supplies, they are better at carrying troops, in the early years they are what the US has to use for amph invasions

LST and such craft carry troops some are better at vehicles, some are better at squads, they offlaod at beaches faster than an AP but also have to come close ashore or beach to do so. Meaning with out support they can get blasted pretty good by guns ashore. The Japanese never get this type of vessel.

AO are replenishment ships they haul fuel and refuel vessels at sea
Favoritism is alive and well here.
