Support units

Post by john martino »

Guys first I want to thank everyone who has been kind in replys to my newbie question!!!!
Question: Which units offer the greatest "support" pound for pound, HQs??????? I have figured aviation support fairly well but general support I seem to be lagging. Any suggestions I did not realize that HQ units offer a great deal of general support!

Base Forces, engineer units give you the best support for your LCU. HQ units are also good but you can use the divisional HQ in support of its depending units in offensive operations as it provides your LCU some bonuses in combat if in range.
It is quite succinct but hope this answer your question.

Support is support, so it does not really matter where it comes from. There are some bonuses though for having HQ united with their respective units. This is especially true for divisional HQ when the division is on the attack or defense. Otherwise, if your support level for a base is in the white vs the red, you have enough support and it does not make any difference which unit is providing the support.

Also any air group HQ will benefit air operations from that hex. (perhaps, neaby hexes but I may have that confused with WITP)
