problems loading saved files

I have downloaded war-in-russia, I am trying to edit the 41 invasion scenario before playing it. I can edit it, but when I try to load the saves file later I get an error message "can not load saved file". Has anybody seen this before?

PS - am running windows XP.

Not sure if I got you right but try "run scenario" to run edited scenarios.
