Buying the game

Post by munited18 »

I live in Dallas, Texas, USA

I was wondering what stores the game can be purchased. I have checked the Usual Suspects, Gamestop, Best Buy, Fry's, etc. Any help would be appreciated. I loved Uncommon Valor, and can't wait to play this one.
Thanks
Travis

The game can only be purchased direct from Matrix, and then via only direct download or backup CD.

WitP is not available at retail outlets. You have to buy it at Matrix's online store on this site.

Well, that sure explains a lot. Now for the obvious question: Is it worth the high cost?

So, I purchase it though the matrix store, and then I download it? How long does that take on DSL? I assume the manuals are downloaded as well.

For me it took about 30-40 minutes on DSL and includes the manuals for the game, the tutorial, and the editor. It was completely trouble free in my experience from purchase to play.

Don't worry about the money. For me at least, I've had it 4-5 weeks and it's more than paid for itself. I can see myself playing this game years from now.

Cheers,

Thanks Rob. I figured as much. I have never had any complaints about Matrix, although Uncommon Valor is the only game I have played. I also figured that it would be more than worth its price. It will just be a week before I can do it. It will be a long week. However, my treasurer, i.e. my wife, has already approved the purchase[;)]. So, it loks to be a VERY long week. In the meantime I will continue to scour the forums, and ask bothering questions!
thanks again

Check the version you download. If it is still version 1.0 you will need to download the mega patch also. My memory does not go back that far to tell you how to do it.

Is it possible to get a hold of the manual before you get the game?

Don't think so...unless someone sends you the Acrobat file.
