Scenario Briefing Typo

Post by Grognard »

In the Scenario Briefing for Joe's Bridge, last paragraph, you wrote how counter-attacks by the HG Div came close to "resting" back control of the bridge. I believe "wrest" is one of the words in our wonderful mother tongue that remains unchanged regardless of our respective passports... (FWIW I prefer Armour, Calibre, Petrol et al)

Don't hate me I'm an English major [;)] [:D]

BTW Steve, you never did post back on the "Didn't get VP's due me" problem with the Weurt crossing. Am playing Nijmegan again so will see if it re-occurs.

"And so when man and horse go down beneath a saber keen
Or in a roaring charge of fierce melee you stop a bullet clean
And the hostiles come to get your scalp
Just empty your canteen
And put your pistol to your head
And go to Fiddler's Green"

Thanks for the typo catch.

I've been unable to locate the thread you're referring to, though I have a vague recollection of something about that crossing. Could you possibly post a link or resend the email so I can follow up on it?

Thanks
Steve

no problem, lots of books and maps have the same typo. But since I live in Nijmegen it is annoying.

For the people who wanna know play WWIIonline. You get the english, spanish, french, scandinavian, portoguese etc ec interpretation of all the names of the towns in the the game. Hell, you don't even recognize your own hometown if they (try to)pronounce it [:D]
