Plea for better Subject (Thread) Etiquette

Post by Mike Mnich »

Dear Guys,
I've noticed this creeping trend on this and other lists. People ramble from one thing to the next and leave the subject header the same. To me it is very disconcerting to open a post or thread (if in a forum), and find many of the posts have nothing to do with the original subject.
Should we clean this up some, or am I too picky?
Thanks,
Mike

ITs a good point, but its difficult to tell sometimes when exactly a thread takes a different direction.

We can do better at this, if you find yourself diverging form the thread, start another and post a link to it in the one you would have taken further off topic!

Not at all, i've noticed same thing.

usual rate is 1 page about the subjetct and 3 off-subject....

When i first came to these forums there was clear line between game/serious/matter-of-fact threads and so-called *BS* threads.
Now they all seem to have mixed into one great jumble of text.

So i'm thumbs up for a clean-up op.

So if thread raises thoughts about some other matter, make a new thread...sounds good

:D :D :D
