Possible to Edit a Saved Game ???

I was a HUGE fan of the old WIP and even played out a 4 year long PBEM game with a friend.

Just getting into this version and it seems awsome so far.

My question - has anyone figured out how to edit a saved game file?

My purpose is not to cheat but to morph WIP with other games. . .
For instance - I manage to launch an interdiction against an allied convoy, say 6 Zeros and 6 Vals against a DD and 5 transports.

After the turn I save the game and then go into Olegs upcoming PAcific Fighters, recreate the exact scenareo and fly it on 3D and then edit THOSE results into WIP. Get it? The same could theoretically be done using Fighting Steel for fleet battles.

Anyone know if this is possible?

No plans on having a save game editor.
