Wargames for Pocket PC ?

Post by Hertston »

I'm getting my hands on a new iPAQ tomorrow (having to work for a living does have a few advantages [:D]). Does anyone know if there are any "proper" wargames in this format ? The only one I've found for handhelds at all is a Strategic Command clone for palm OS only.

I've found a few demos of strategy games to try, but no wargames - the nearest seems to be something called "Pocket War".

Anybody know of anything ?

Warring Nations
Turn-based strategy, where the action takes place in the Medieval World - a time of Noble Lords and Great Battles!

-50% OFF, NOW $7.47

Its not the best but its one of the better I found on PPC

www.clickgammer.com

Now if Matrix could make some PPC games, that also work on phones that would be a gold mine!

Also if you like SciFI, check out www.baen.com they have a huge set of free ebooks and then sell sets of 5-6 for 12-15 each, which with books costing 5-7 dollars these days is a great price.

If you send me your email, I'll add you to my list a Baen, you will get a few free books when I order my next set.

Why, do you have shares ? [:D] Looked a very useful utility anyway, so I bought it.

Thanks for that, folks. After trying some demos I bought Warring Nations and Warlords 2, as both were on that 48 hour half-price sale Larac mentioned. Sadly Pocket War wasn't, so that can wait a while. Grabbed Warring States as well.

I'll pass on the sci-fi, thanks anyway. It's very rare I read any fiction at all these days - too much non-fiction to catch up on.

I found warlords 2 at clickgamer and that game is also fun...
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.
