Pearl attack redone

Post by kevini100 »

I've been learning and finally got the right setting that I think works. I have worked out a way to conserve Japan's Naval pilots at the start. This was something that I got wrong the first time.

Anyway I did the first turn Historic and got what I think was the best Pearl attack I've seen from different first turns I've done. 5 BB's sunk with one destroyer. Most of the time I've none sunk or just one sunk and the rest damaged to some extent. Now I know these BB's aren't that valuable in the Pacific War but this is perhaps the high end of the Pearl attack success.

I've yet to single a 2nd attack during the PM cycle in ANY of the turns I've run... I don't know what else to try. I've fiddled with the sq leaders, the orders, the escort %... nothing seems to work. Have you found anything to get you a consistent 2nd attack?

I don't think you get 2 attacks on a port with one CV group. It actually seems easier to sink ships at sea away from a big port.
