What's up with Operation Nightfall?

I'm on Day 43 of this campaign. I haven't had an intelligence report since Day 13. If this is due to the Zolon Quantum Disruptor we were warned about, okay. But the goal of this campaign is supposed to be to destroy the Hegemony Laboratory ... but I haven't seen a single assault launched on this target. If I try to attack it, the game crashes. Yet its hull integrity continues to drop. Every mission sees it getting weaker, with no assaults on it that I can see.
I'm still flying fighters ... currently with the 15th Tactical Fighter Wing, CVBG Orion. There's nothing on the Mission Roster but patrols, sweeps, and shuttle escorts. Yet that laboratory is just sitting there. Its hull integrity is now 13 percent. A Thunderbolt assault could take it out in a second.
What the hell is going on? This campaign is putting me to sleep -- literally.

You could transfer yourself to the thunderbolt squad. I've found that that shakes loose the assualt missions sometimes.
