cant get demo to work

when I go to load the game by clicking on the stars Icon i get a message that says cannot change the screen to 800 x 32 I changed my display settings to 800 600 But I still get the message do I need a new Monitor ?

Is it a windows error message or a SS error message taht tells you you cant set your computer to 800x600?

Also, what're you system specs (vid card, vid driver version, windows version etc)?

i think it is a windows error it acts like its going to start up then the screen goes black then I get the message it it is unable to change the screen to 800 600 x 32 I tried setting it manually in settings but i dont an option to set to 32 does that mean 32 bit because I can set it only to 16 or 24 bt let me know please ?

'32' refers to 32-bit color. Try running the game in 16 bit color.

What kind of video card/OS etc are you running?
