Secure PBEM - What does 'secure' mean?

As a new PBEMailer - can someome help me understand what it actually means to play a game in secure mode (I can't find it in the manual).

Does it mean that one I open the save game file provided by my oponenet - I have to finish the turn - no saving the turn half-way through and coming back later?

Essentially you've got it. A secure turn can only be played once. All moves that cannot be reversed with undo button are permanent.

There is not a save & resume option (althought if you exit program with "x" midway thru, you will be able to resume later with all moves saved). Biggest issue is that once you start a secure PBEM game you cannot play another PBEM game. That one must be finished before playing another PBEM game.

To rephrase:

If you are playing multiple PBEM games, when you begin a turn you must complete that turn before you can play the turn of another PBEM game.

If you begin a turn and get called away by real life, you can exit the game and come back later. When you come back, you do not have to load an email game. But if you choose to load an email game, that incomplete turn will load and you can continue.

I noticed a subtle difference between KP and BIN for secure E-mail games. In KP, the first player sets up the game, does his first turn, and then sends the results to the second player. Theoretically -- not that anyone here would do this -- the first player could choose not to send the file if he didn't like the results and instead try again.

In BIN, the second player sets up the game and sends it to the first player, who then does his first turn and returns it. This ensures no "do-overs" by the first player in BIN! [8D]
