Is there a way to win?

Post by Popeye USN »

First real PBEM game. As IJN in senario 15, I hold PM and GC. All CV's intact except Kaga who sleeps with the fishes. I had Luganville, but failed to take Port Vila. US bombed it back to the stone age and I couldn't do anything with all the US airpower. US now slowly building small bases toward GC to fly fighters and SBD's from. I have small bases at Neave, Russell Is., and Iru.
It's now January 43. US has P-38's and other new toys on the way. based on your expert analysis, is there anyway to win this game or is my situation untenable? I'm up about 2700 points. Thanks in advance...[&o]

Use KB and surface bombardment groups to pound the hell out of his forward bases, mine and bomb them as well. Use single ships transport TF's and bardges to move supplied forward to your more exposed bases. Don't concentate your air power all at one base ie rabul as the allies have the LBA to close it down permanetly. Save your Betties and nells for invasion attacks.

Wanted: ISDII Low millage in Imperial gray.

Just my 2 pence worth.
I might not be right.
Hell I am probaby wrong.
But thats my opinion for what its worth!
