Newbee needs help

Hello all.
I've played thru the tutorial, made notes, downloaded some of you guys spreadsheets, and are currently trial/playing the Guadicanal scenario. There a lot of units in WitP that I never heard of so the learning curve by experimentation is quite slow for me.
Where can I learn what operation each type of unit is best at performing. ie: seabees build ports, SCs chase subs, fighters fly air to air and CAP missions, etc.
I can't wait to learn this awesome game.
