So far it's looking good. It seems AdmNelson lives up to his name and focuses on the naval war - no Chinese troop movements have been detected!
This turn I reinforce Singkawang with more Bettys. My main invasion force left Indochina this turn and will stop by Singkawang on the way to Java.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/15/41
No Dutch air attack today, I assume they've been reduced and need rest. Wish I could do more to deter his submarines but for now I have to ride it out. Pontianak harbor has about 10 damaged ships, including a CA, CL and two DDs. My only losses in the war so far are a few AKs.
The invasion of Java should being by December 20 at the latest. I'm still unsure where exactly to land. Suggestions?

RE: Naval Battle at Singkawang
AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/21/41
My escorting BBs mysteriously retire and leave my invasion fleet vulnerable. The cost is one CA and several damaged ships. It's too late to stop the invasion though, only a very few troops and some supplies are left to unload.
With Kragen in my hands and more than 2 divisions landed the conquest of Java should be a sure thing. I will now try to slow down a little and avoid any further confrontations until carrier forces are in the area (a week tops).
China is also going well, Sian should be mine tomorrow and the Chinese communist forces in the north isolated.
I'm also making headway in Malaya, Singapore should fall on schedule.

This time AdmNelson gets the better of me and the BB Haruna sinks. In addition, several other surface ships are damaged. Fortunately my carriers are leaving Camranh Bay today - if he stays around I'm hoping to sink most of the surface forces he has in the waters around Java.
I need one more day to unload at Kragen. My surface task force will try to engage enemy surface task forces before retiring tomorrow.

This time AdmNelson gets the better of me and the BB Haruna sinks. In addition, several other surface ships are damaged. Fortunately my carriers are leaving Camranh Bay today - if he stays around I'm hoping to sink most of the surface forces he has in the waters around Java.
I need one more day to unload at Kragen. My surface task force will try to engage enemy surface task forces before retiring tomorrow.
