Movement costs

Post by Tommi »

In the movement OP cost lists by terrain, there are two truck icons. What's the difference between them? One's for wheeled movement for sure, but which one? And the other one, motorized infantry mov't or? Tried looking through the manual, but couldn't find help on this.

I must say, I was a bit disappointed by the manual. Why didn't you include e.g. movement OP costs in the appendix? A hotkey list would have been nice and for those who don't know the NATO symbols, their explanations would have most likely been useful. Well, the game's good and that's what counts, but a better manual would have made getting into the game more smoother.

Movement modes are covered on p.6 of the Tutorial, and pp.10 & 34-36 of the Manual. The silhouettes in the Terrain and CRT Tables screen are (from top to bottom): Supply, Leg, Horse, Wheel (2 wheels), Track, Motorised Leg (3 wheels), Anti-Tank. A units' movement mode is indicated by a silhouette in various screens, and is named in the movement pop-up screen.

p.4 of the Tutorial suggests that you can ascertain the Nato symbols used in the game by looking at various unit names. However, not all units indicate military type in their name.
