The problem with Wargames and why you should buy this one

A turn-based, simultaneous-play wargame with a classic 3D miniatures feel and a historical campaign.

The problem with Wargames and why you should buy this one

Post by HobbesACW »

Hi Folks, at the moment I'm playing PBEM the Campaign Series (as always) Just stopped playing HPS Panzer Campaigns
(great games - not enough time) I have spent 2 months trying to understand Europa Universalis II (I'm playing my first game as England and have just discovered America - looking to give the French a hiding soon hopefully as they are getting too strong, but the Spanish don't seem to want to help out) Only 3 months of real time left to play in this one.

Just out is Civil War:Bull Run which I would like to try.

Out soon (apparently) and I WANT to play all of them :-

Flashpoint Germany
Guns of August
World at War
Empire in Arms
Combat Leader
Combined Arms
AGW 39-45
Strategic Command2

Games already out :-

War in the Pacific (what were they thinking? Has anyone actually completed a full 4 year game?
I loved Uncommon Valor, but lost both opponents after 3 months - can anyone complete a 4 year 1
turn a day PBEM?)

HPS
Campaign Series
Battleground Series

Campaigns on the Danube (Have had for 2 years - yet to play - please add sound)
Imperialism II (Bought in bargain bucket - looks good - no time to play)
Civ3 add on (Love Civ - maybe find time to play one day)

Hearts of Iron II (Bought Hearts of Iron I - this does not look much more playable)

Tin Soldiers
(Now to the point of this thread)

Most of the above games take ages to get into. Tin Soldiers you can learn and play
in an afternoon - although the gameplay also lends itself to the near grognard if required.
Basically there is not enough time in the day to play all the splendid games soon to be around
but Tin soldiers is a game I feel can be understood quickly and at the price is even worth getting
just for a few spare hours one weekend.

O - Dominions II (There are too many games now)
(How can I get time to complete Half Life?)
