Can anyone tell me what these designations behind certain units mean? Likewise for the * + and - tags? Some are fairly ovbious, but who knows maybe I am still missing out on a few things?

I think * means the unit is spotted. Dont know about the others.

(r),(f) are German designations for foreign equipement (don't know if other nations used it, too). (r) for Russia, (f) for France...

*,+,- indicates there's something special about this unit. + could mean additional equipement or personel compared to the standard. * marks the super overpowered (in number of men)japaneese SNLF squads e.g.
