BIN vs KP

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

Aside from the obvious (geography, timeframe, forces), what (if any) are the differences between Battles in Normandy and Korsun Pocket?

The interface has been streamlined. As has many aspects of combat reporting. And there are some new rule sets for combat. Check out the webpage. I think there's more information there.

BIN is a whole new game engine. But to the player it looks and feels like an improvement to KP. That was intentional.

BIN has a series of short cut keys KP does not have. These provide information that was always available but now it’s a whole lot easier to view.

Thanks to the new engine, BIN has a number of new features added. The most obvious is the ability to land amphibious troops.

I've scanned (albeit not a detailed one) both the game and tutorial manuals, particularly the end of both but have not seen a short cut key list - is there one buried somewhere in either of these manuals?

The hotkeys were significantly increased in the v1.01 patch... readme notes from the patch listed all the new hotkeys IIRC...
