How to alter ship design radius? I'm pretty sure it causes my blob ammo to hit an invisible wall before it impacts with the ship itself.

For example, the ship's length is 630. However the game draws the design radius to 910.

I'd like to see my primaries hitting the hull (although the explosions occur on the hull).

I have disabled the shields particularly for this test, and using scale 0.1 for the blob and 0.4 for the freighter class ship. Could this affect things?

The shots travel quite normally, but they hit an invisible wall at the range of the ship design radius (as per determined from the errlog). I tested with two freighter class ships, same effect. At the range of the ship design radius, when I press fire, the hit lands on the hull immediately, which is ~500 away, but no bolt seen whatsoever. When I back up a little, I can catch a glimpse of the bolt, which travels only a few meters, disappears and the hull is being hit immediately thenafter 500 meters away. (the shot could not make it in that time, its speed being 450.)

The funny thing is, when I maneuver my ship's line of fire away from the target, the shots become immediately visible and continue way past the target, so it is not a question of too short range either.

It just cuts the shot off at the range of the ship design radius. If I could alter this radius, it might fix the problem. Unless it has something to do with scales.

Frustrating as my work is stalled. Assistance required. [:)]
