How thick is the fog of war?

Post by mikemc »

Hello all,
I was just wondering how accurate combat reports are when using fog of war. I know enemy ships sunk do not always show but what about enemy aircraft losses, are these wildly exaggerated as was the norm in WW2 or are they anywhere near accurate? Can I take the losses shown in the VP page as anywhere near the truth?

The stats in the VP page are accurate so you can rely on them
all else is just that fog of war.

Well the problem is that the stats in the combat reports do vary. However, if you check the intellegence page after each round, it give you an accurate count of enemy planes shot down that turn-thus defeating the purpose of FOW. But FOW with ship sighting and bombing hits works well and you get many false reports. I just had one where the combat report showed two torpedo hits on my fast BB but when I checked the ship she had no damage. Caused my heart to stop for a bit.

I don't think it's FOW, I think it's the Combat Replay bug [:'(]

All ships that are sunk will eventually appear, may take a few months...
