I have noticed that the OOB in this scenario varies significantly from that in Scen 17/19 of UV. Is this the result of result better research/data or some kind of compromise for playability's sake?
Have actually only looked at the US side but seems like there's an extra FG with P-40s and the 32nd Inf Div available in Oz at start; and a couple squadrons of Marine dive bombers and a filled out fighter group in Noumea as well as a very early arriving RCT in Noumea. Are there some corresponding additions to the Japanese Player's forces as well?

yep i noticed this myself. both sides have differences....
