Idiot question

It seems that in small scenarios, like Guadalcanal and South Pacific, the Japanese doesn´t have replacements for Infantry sqads and many other land equipment. However, it seems the receive those replacements (or at least I had this impression because my units were always recovering from combat. What do you think?
