Now anything is possible in this new strategic offering from Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games.

Words cannot describe World at War...

I am speechless but i thought i would say "something" for the curious. This in no beer and pretzels game, sure it is easy to move things around and access all the pertinent information, but there is a perfect combination of "ingredients" that must be managed and prepared like fine cuisine. Compelling...yes, compelling is the master word for World at War. So much depth combined with a multitude of options leaves me feeling like a kid on Christmas morning: "what do i open next?"[:D]
WOW! That's a short, concise three letter word that works and lets me get back to gaming. I didn't expect, in fact i had no idea, just what WAW would be like or had to offer a wargamer that's seen it all. A lover of detail, planning and execution will be thrilled at experiencing this surefire classic of modern wargaming[:)]. Of course, a few weeks from now a couple beers and pretzels won't hinder my production planning and global awareness "IF" i remember to even eat or drink[:D].
Bravo Matrix and Team, Bravo for a job well done.

I haven't bought the game yet; waiting until Thur, but the more I hear and read about it, the more it seems that it is much more than just Axis and Allies plus. It seems this title got slapped with the Axis and Allies label simply because it looks so similar and it was an obvious comparison. Initially, I hadn't planned on buying the game because all I heard was how similar to Axis and Allies it would be. Thankfully this appears to not be so. I am looking forward to grabbing a copy.

Agreed. I haven't liked some of the stuff I've gotten from Matrixgames, but I do LOVE this!

Hehe, now the testers are rewarded for all the times we kept saying "It isn't Axis & Allies" [:D]

I'ld say its more like a "white wine and lobster" game rather than beer and pretzels.

Again, congratulations Matrix and 2by3. Great job! [:D]

Just wait until you try a PBEM game with at least four other people! The game changes again and even more depth reveals itself!! Enjoy!

You can keep them out for some time, but it will cost you. It requires a turn 2 invasion of Spain, and a turn 3 taking of Gibraltar. Lots of supplies down the drain in other words, and pulling off a timely 41 Barbarossa will be hard, if not impossible.
