supply question

Post by randell765 »

My rulebook is at work for the weekend so please no "look in the book",
How much supply do you use when you go for R&D development? Where can you see how much supply is left? How do I know if my units have enough supply left? I played a game with the computer controlling the supply, by the end of the year none of my units could move. Is there one area that sucks supplies more than others?(still too new to make advanced supplies yet)

RE: supply question

Research only uses production (1 resource + 1 factory = 1 production) no supply. There is a button next to the "show units" button that looks like little boxes - it "shows supplies" - when you move the number at the top of the "movemnet palette" that appears is how much total supply you have left.

IF you play on "simple" supplly (what I assume you mean by "computer controlling supply?)- there is no supply on the map -its all in a "big pool in the sky" that gets tlelported where you need it - so the "show supply button may be greyed out.

With "simple supply" the computer won't buy supply - you still have to do that - you just don't have to worry about managing its distribution.

If you mean by "computer controlling supply "computer controlling pruduction" - then yes, you may run into problems with the AI resourcing your ambitions properly! IF you are playing on advanced supply and the computer is running production (ie buying supply) - then it will appear in facotry areas and you have to move it around where you wnat it to support your movement and attacks.
