Can I please get more information about your computer system? Please upload a DirectX dialog file.

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. attach the file to the reply to us

Please update your graphic card driver. The one you currently run are out of date, 6.14.10.6517 is the latest version for the ATI Radeon cards.
Also please update your sound card driver.

I did some more investigation. Are you running the "ReClock" DirectShow filter http://reclock.free.fr/ ?

I noticed you run a whole lot of not "default WindowsXP" codecs and filters.

"Ace mega codec pack" , there we have it. This , and I have experience with codecs and stuff, wrecked my last OS installation of WindowsXP.

The "Ace mega codec pack" is really bad as it forces some nasty stuff on you and is very very unreliable when you try to uninstall it. In general codec packs can really wreck your system if you´re not knowing what you do.

We have three solutions here.

1. update to the latest Windows Media Player. If that does not help try one of the two following suggestions

2. You try to uninstall the Ace Mega Code Pack and see if that helps.

3. You rename the opening videos in the "video" folder (loacted in your installation path of GGWAW: dat\video). The game will then bypass the videos. See if that helps.

2by3intro.wmv
matrixintro.wmv
waw_intro.wmv

If yes you will most probably also face problems with the in game videos. So I would recommend to rename the whole "video" folder.
