Need help with Japan

Need help to anyone who has played Japan well. I can hold my own with Germany(for a little while at least), <forget Africa> attack in pincer formation on Russia which allows Cacasus to be taken somewhat easily since Russia diverts majority of troops north to prevent taking of Moscow. Slowly squeeze,rinse,repeat

Here comes the problem, I am constatntly running out of supplies with Japan, I always take the majority of China(which may be a mistake as I'm finding out, it takes up too many resources but I want easy access to Siam and sw of there since the USA will constantly concentrate on Germany(at least with supplies), I don't have enough supplies for my ships which leaves them as floating ducks since I attack and then I'm stuck.

Any help or strats would be appreciated. Thank you-
