Pilot Replacement

Working on a little test scenario with German aircraft and pilots as the Japanese so as not to fool with the WITP routines, have removed all old pilot names and just added new German ones, but pilot replacements still have Japanese names.
So, how are replacement pilot names created, using random initials behind old shotdown pilots or is there a hidden (if possible editable) file with the replacement names???

I have removed all the pilots from my scenario file, but the squadrons are still there and need more than 2000 replacement pilots, Japanese as well as Russian. All the pilots are created before the first turn, so I guess there has to be a file that has the names of those randomly created pilots, and it is not specific to a single scenario but to all. Any ideas about this?
