BSOD during the war

Post by Junshi »

Dear tech support,

I am running a 3.6 laptop with a gig of ram and a nvidia 6800 go 256m video card. It would seem that deep into the game I get the BSOD witha memeory dump. I then proceeded to run memtest86 to see if it was ram, did 3 passes and everything looked ok. I really do not know what to do, as every time I play this great game it crashes on me late in the game. Please help me if you can[&:],

P.S. all my drivers are up to date!

Can you give us some more info about the situation when it crashes? Is it during the AI's move or during your turn? Is this using the 1.016 patch? If you are getting this frequently, please turn auto save on and when it crashes, try to go back to the last save and see if it crashes again when you repeat the move. Then send a save game to 2by3@2by3games.com. If this is happening late in a game, it is more likely it is a game bug as opposed to a system issue (although we can't say for sure at this point), so getting a save along with information on how to repeat the crash would be very helpful. You say it is happening deep into a game. Do you mean by this that it is many turns into a game? Again, the more information you can give us the better. We will try to figure out what is causing the problem and fix it if we can get more information. Thanks.

OK Joel, I will play the game again with the save game feature on and send the save.
