No release date yet, but I can say the project is shaping up quite nicely. Basically waiting on Mike, and then I have to finish documentation (Just finished the WPO Ship Manual, without guntables it comes to 212 pages!), and some scenario selection art. As to price, I think when David does his press release that should have it. I know what it should be, but I don't think I can say yet officially.

I would figure Late April, early May is a good bet (I want to make sure its tested good, nothing with my name on it is going out the door rushed.)

Well, the actual manual is kinda thin. The 212 page monster (actually 217 now) has a little write up of every warship in the game, possible upgrade, the graphic, and a listing of every naval gun, mine, and torpedo from each nation, along with respective values. Im still writing the actual manual that talks about the game, special features, and stuff like that.

The way I did it was a mainly a quick reference for ship upgrades, or a handy thing to read when goint to the toilet [:D]

Since everyone is interested, This is the manual Sub Division.

221 Pages (I finished it!)

It has a Section describing every kind of ship. I.e., the different types of light cruiser, different types of BBs, etc.

The "Meat" of the manual is broken down into sections on US, British, Japanese, German, Dutch, and French ships in the game. Within that, each warship gets a Page, in which all graphics for it are displayed, along with all the armament, endurance, range, armor, speed, type, classification (I.e. BB, Predreadnought), and so forth. Then, it has a little paragraph explaining the class, historical significance, class members that were sunk in WWI, or that were historically not completed. For instance, the Fuji class predreadnought listing indicates that her sister Yashima was sunk in the Russo-Japanese War, whereas the British Emerald class listing details that the Euphrates, originally cancelled under the Washington Treaty, is in War Plan Orange.

At the end of each country's section is a table listing every naval gun, mine, torpedo, and depth charge, complete with range, weight of charge, and penetration values for that country. The US Mine listing also details the differences between the mines, and which submarines may load the Mk 10 mines.

At the end of the manual is a conversion table, listing the Metric Measurement, the Standard conversion, and the actual bore of the gun in a standard measurement. So, the table entry for Japanese 15cm guns is:

15cm Japanese, 5.9 Inch, 6 Inch.

This reflects that the Japanese 15cm weapon should be a 5.9 Inch weapon, but in reality is a 6 Inch weapon.

Also, it has a nice table of contents, so you can flip right to the page of whatever countries ship you need. Non Military ships (AKs, AOs, AEs, APs, TKs, and merchant MLs and MSWs) are not included.

Also forgot: For submarines, under its weapons it has the number of Torpedo Tubes, plus total number of torpedoes carried. In addition, instead of armor, submarine entry's have max diving depth.

How did the testing for Japanese 1st strike long range torpedo attacks go?? Did it turn out to be hardwired??

So far, each side seems to trade torpedoes normally.... and so far both side's torpedoes are equally crappy.
