Got mine today. I've just installed it and printing the manual [:)].

Two precisions requested :

- The property tab of the .exe says it's version 2.40. That means I gotta upgrade to 2.41 by downloading the latest patch, right ? The patches subfolder contains only a dummy file.

- I use a 19" LCD in 1024x768. The popup menus fonts could be crisper. Any known tweakings ? No way of increasing resolution to the monitor native 1280x1024 res ?

Thanks !

Only 800 and 1024 resolutions available. I'm running a 21" and it looks fine here. you have the toggle on 1024 and restarted the game?

The 800 setting makes everything reall bog on my monitor...I just like to see more in the window.

This is definitely the updated v2.41, no need for the patch. Looks like the properties weren't changed, but what you should pay attention to is the version number as displayed within the game itself when launched.

If your monitor is interpolating with too much distortion, you could try changing the resizing from monitor-based to display adapter-based to see if that helps. There is also an unsupported Windowed mode for UV which would remove the interpolation effect although it would not then be full screen. This can be accessed by adding a -w to the end of the Quick Start shortcut's target line.

I did the digital download a few weeks ago which I thought was a great service. I received confirmation emails but today...I had to reformat my computer. I seemed to remember that I get free downloads for the game for 30 days from the purchase if I have problems. Please let me know what you can do. Thanks.

Am I in the wrong area for this question? All I want is the link to get a backup copy for the game I purchased and nobody is responding to me. The virus I got on my system a few days ago caused my system to shut down every couple of minutes and eventually created passwords for my windows profile that I had no choice but to restore to factory settings. I would appreciate a prompt replay if someone could help me please. Thanks.

You can use Digital River's order look-up service by pointing your browser to

https://www.findmyorder.com/

enter the email address and the last 5 digits of your credit card used when you purchased the game and you should get to a page with your order details, including a download link for the game.

I bought the digital download version of Uncommon Valor a couple of days ago, installed it and have had some fun with it. However, the download did not, it seems, include the game manual. It did include a slender an uninformative Player's Guide, relating to a tutorial (and not, apparently, the one in the scenario list). There were various other single sheet pdf files. The only substantial file was a 7Mb advertisement for Matrix (including an ad saying the Harpoon 3 would be distributed by Matrix...)

How do I get a pdf of the game manual?

Also, I have registered this game, and in the "My games" list there is an entry for downloads for Uncommon Valor, but it is a dummy entry, it just returns to the same game list page when clicked.

Cheers
