HTTR - New Help re Serial Number

I recently purchased a copy of HTTR via the NWS Online Combat Gaming Store and received the CD and manual in the mail. When I installed the program I was not prompted to type in any serial number. I would like to download the current patch for the game, but the download process requires a serial number. There was none on the sleeve containing the CD. However, the e-mail from NWS confirming the shipment included a lengthy "confirmation number." Is that also the "serial number" for my copy of the game?

Highway to the Reich was released in a retail boxed version (which is what you have) that was not serialized but had other copy protection. For that, you don't need a serial number and the patch doesn't expect one. The digital download version of HttR does require a serial number, but you don't need to worry about that, just update the base retail installation and you'll be fine.

Where are you being asked for a serial number in order to download the update? If you can give me a specific link, I'll check out what's going on. Thanks.
