Physical Shipment of WITP

Post by Chris R. »

Does the physical shipment option for WITP include a real game manual or just the PDF file? If not where can I get
the CD-ROM and physical manual? Thanks!

You can get the physical maual in you local copy shop, by PRINTING the PDF file. There simply is no place to get the the physical copy from...

You buy the CD-ROM also from 2BY3, cost about 10 dollars more than the game download

The delivery of the physical disc to about 5-7 days from when I ordered. I printed the manual out myself. The cost (in printer ink and paper) was probably about the same as using Kinko's or similar, but more convenient.

The manual is pretty big, btw. about 220 pages.

I ordered the game and I received the download and then the cd-rom came about a month or so later, all for the same price. I then went to kinko's as previously poster stated and cost me about $20 for them to copy it, I burned the pdf to a cd in advance. One little thing you might take into account here, with all the patches the manual is kinda dated, but good for a general feel so to speak.
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

Be certain to specify that they print it in black and white. If they just print it out as is, it will be in color and they will charge you a couple hundred bucks.

If they charge you a couple of hundred bucks to print in color it is definitely cheaper to print at home. A print cartridge is what, $30? I may have used up 1/3 of a cartridge printing the manual on a guess.

I did print it in color so the screenshots look right.

I never printed the manual and I never missed it. In fact, I find that the search capability makes the softcopy more useful than any hardcopy game manual I have ever seen (even the two that really had an index[:D])

I did print a couple of key tables and I even still refer to the one on page 147 (max LCU training level)

Aye, I do the same. I would miss the search features very much, especially as it is difficult to find stuff on the manual just by browsing it.

I also use the software version of the manual and its search feature. FWIW, I also produced a detailed Index of the manual, but I rarely use it these days.
